Japan, Guest of Honour at the Grand Pavois La Rochelle 2026
From 22 to 27 September 2026, Japan will be the Guest of Honour at the Grand Pavois La Rochelle. For six days, the international boat show will invite visitors to discover a Japan that is both traditional and contemporary, with a strong connection to the sea.
At the heart of the show, the Japan Hall will offer an immersive experience of Japanese culture through exhibitions, demonstrations, workshops and a wide range of activities. Japanese gastronomy, traditional crafts, arts, maritime heritage, martial arts, ikebana, Gyotaku, tea ceremony and many other events will showcase the different facets of the Japanese archipelago.
The programme will also highlight Toba, a Japanese coastal city deeply connected to the sea, as well as several organisations and associations that help strengthen the ties between Japan and La Rochelle.
