A 50TH ANNIVERSARY FOR THE GRAND PAVOIS LA ROCHELLE WITH MANY INNOVATIONS!

The event for the coming year’s innovations
Enthusiasts know it: the Grand Pavois La Rochelle offers many exclusive innovations and previews. September is THE month for launching innovations for the coming year and Grand Pavois La Rochelle offers many brands the chance to present their new models to their network of distributors and invite the many enthusiasts eager to discover what water sports of the future will look like. Traditionally, about 150 new boats and new products are presented at the show, with some boats presented as world exclusives.
Two new thematic spaces in 2022 and the wish to develop an in-water Rental Company and Boat Club Space.
The show for real fans continues to grow and aims to meet all its visitors’ needs. Thus, two new areas will make their appearance at the 2022 show with the creation of a Board Sports and Light Sailing Space on-land or inside the show to complete the La Plage Space on Plage des Minimes. Although La Plage will continue to be the centre for initiations, experiences, encounters, and equipment tests for board sports and light sailing equipment at the waterside, exhibitors and their products will be presented inside the show. An innovation ensuring a direct link with exhibitors. Also note the new Art & Decoration Hall, which will bring together artists and creations with ties with the world of water sports.
Finally, Grand Pavois Organisation is working on and developing a future in-water space devoted to rental firms and boat clubs. Indeed, many visitors want to see the boats they can hire or use in the frame of these rapidly developing service offers. There could be nothing better for dreaming and imagining yourself using the service than a visit to a catamaran or a motorboat which the enthusiast will use for his or her forthcoming holidays or day trips!
A new walkway to the pontoon to improve the flow of in-water visitors and new in-water structures to optimise the visibility of the brands and boats.
Optimising the in-water show, the boats presented and enabling as many people as possible to visit the 6 kilometres of pontoons at the Grand Pavois La Rochelle is an ongoing goal for Grand Pavois Organisation. Thus, a new walkway to the pontoons will be opened this year and will depart from the Eastern zone of the show, i.e. from the Sustainable Innovations Space with EDF, near the guest country of honour, Tahiti and the Pacific Islands. It will now be possible to enter the in-water area from all three sides of the show, i.e. from the West and the Equipment Space (1 passageway up and 1 passageway down), from the South via the boat exhibition space (7 passageways) and the East and the Guest of Country of Honour space. Plenty to keep the many visitors and water sports professionals happy!
Also, note the creation of new in-water structures. To optimise the presence of brands and provide better exhibition conditions for them, Grand Pavois Organisation is offering a larger in-water stands space, ranging from 9 square metre to 50 square metre covered spaces on 90 square metre platforms. A great development for creating genuine brand universes.
Upgrading of the Sustainable Innovations Space with EDF
Major upgrade of the Sustainable Innovations Space with EDF in the frame of this 2022 edition which will be in-water and on-land. Several start-ups have been invited, such as BlueSeeds and its platform for managing mooring areas and raising awareness of the challenges of eco-sailing among sailors and eco-tourism professionals; Life Ocean and its filtering buoy; FMGT and its anti-UV, anti-scratch and hydrophobic protective films to limit the use of chemicals on hulls; and Ibaia Boats with its electric houseboats aimed at developing floating housing. While 14 start-ups will be present, note that many professionals will also be exhibiting products in this space that are currently on the market. For example, there will be ADV Propulse and its SmartSail concept devoted to sober and green electricity production to cover needs on board; Atelier Interface with its Mini 6.50 – the Floky 6.50 – built in 100% bio-composites with bamboo and flax fibre, recycled PET foam, bio-based epoxy resins and recyclable thermoplastics; Neocean and its electric-powered Overboat on foils; Temo France and its portable electric motors, not to mention Naviwatt and its 13 years of experience and unique know-how in electric propulsion. More than thirty exhibitors will be brought together in this on-land and in-water Sustainable innovations space. An event in the event »
A Multihull Space which is growing,
The in-water Multihull Space at the Grand Pavois La Rochelle is growing this year with 30 multihulls on display, many of them new. While cruising multihulls continue to develop in many sizes, it should be noted that the Grand Pavois La Rochelle is the Atlantic in-water boat show where it is possible to find the best offer for small so-called nomadic multihulls and small cruisers. In terms of figures, the largest multihull on show will be the ORC 57, built by the Marsaudon Composites shipyard. This dagger-board, fractioned sloop-rigged yacht, designed by the naval architect Marc Lombard, is 17.10 metres long, while the smallest will be the 5.95-metre Astus 20.5. A trimaran designed by VPLP Design, which is easy to transport and set up for single-handed sailing so that you change water area according to your wishes. In short, there is something for all tastes and every sailing programme.
