« VOILES DE NUIT » the MAGICAL NAUTICAL and PYRO-DIGITAL SHOW COMES BACK in LA ROCHELLE!

Voiles de Nuit, three hours of free entertainment!
Voiles de Nuit, originally planned for 2022 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Grand Pavois La Rochelle, in association with the 50th anniversary of the marina Les Minimes of La Rochelle, will do its great return this year on Saturday 5 October from 6.30pm. The fireworks starting at 8pm promises 45 minutes of intense and unforgettable emotions.
Worldwide benchmark for pyro-digital shows, Voile de Nuit is organised by its creator The Grand Pavois Organisation, and produced by its long-standing pyrotechnic partner, the internationally renowned event company RUGGIERI, directed by David Proteau. Under the direction of Alain Pochon, President of The Grand Pavois Organisation, Voiles de Nuit will once again transcend its audience combining land and sea, history and modernity, pyrotechnic, light projections, music and the beauty of a large range of embarcations.
A long-awaited return…
Sounds, lights and boats will plunge visitors into a magical ballet from 6.30pm, against the backdrop of the ramparts and towers of a town that has always looked to the sea. At 8.00 pm, the city dating back to the 5th century, will light up with a thousand lights for 45 minutes of magic and intense emotion.
As Alain Pochon, President of Grand Pavois Organisation expresses it: « It is a real pleasure and a great honour to celebrate Voiles de Nuit together again! It will undeniably be exceptional… Exceptional, because it will celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Grand Pavois La Rochelle; which has become with time and passion a world-renowned event that makes our city proud. We are delighted to make it this year, even if we never forget that we dependent on the weather.
Whatever happens, The Grand Pavois 2024, our international afloat boat show, will take place from the 1st to the 6th of October, and will offer to our professional exhibitors and the general public an innovative, creative, hard-hitting and festive time. The Grand Pavois La Rochelle, has grown and evolved to become what it is today with the Minimes marina. It is an intimately story that we will be celebrating on Saturday the 5th of October with Voile de Nuit ».
An eco-friendly show!
Proposed by Grand Pavois Organisation and staged by the company RUGGIERI, Voiles de Nuit aims to be eco-responsible event now. To achieve this, RUGGIERI will be using brand new pyrotechnic compositions with a quantity of fine particles close to 0. They will also sort waste for recovery, complying with environmental and safety standards, using reusable firing structures and 100% degradable shell fireworks, eliminating polluting components not useful for firing. In addition, RUGGIERI will not use any heavy metals classified as dangerous, and clean the site, sort and dispose the waste by sector, as well as raising awareness among all its staff involved in the process. It has to be said that, RUGGIERI is committed to total carbon offsetting for Voiles de Nuit this year, including the manufacture of the products, their transport, the staging of the show, the burning of the fireworks and the end-of-life of the products used. To offset all Voiles de Nuit’s CO2 emissions, a number of trees will be planted, depending on the show.

Voiles de Nuit is : 1,500 kilos of fireworks – 15 days of production – 120 people working on the event – 10 days of design for the scenography – 3 days of work on site – 3 hours of shows, including 25 minutes of pyro-digital fireworks – Many boats present – Over 30,000 spectators expected.
