Fort Boyard, a heritage jewel at the heart of the 53rd edition of the show

An emblematic symbol of the Atlantic coastline, fort Boyard will be the guest of honour at Grand Pavois La Rochelle 2025. For this 53rd edition, the famous maritime monument will be the centre of attention in a 750 m² themed hall. Here you can immerse yourself in the world of the fort and the Charente-Maritime region, with events, meetings and local gastronomy.

A fort steeped in history… and emotion

From Louis XIV to Napoleon III, fort Boyard has spanned the centuries and the imagination. A film star and star of the cult TV programme of the same name, it is the very embodiment of France’s maritime heritage. And while it’s not yet open to the public, that’s set to change in 2028: an ambitious conservation project will soon allow the public to discover this stone giant in the heart of the ocean, between the islands of Aix and Oléron.

A concrete commitment to its preservation

A victim of erosion and the passage of time, fort Boyard is now in danger. To preserve it, the Charente-Maritime department, which owns the site, has launched a major restoration project with the Fondation du Patrimoine. And because this battle concerns all lovers of the fort, the Grand Pavois La Rochelle is making a commitment: €1 from each admission ticket will be donated to the Foundation, to make an active contribution to this exceptional project.

An immersive space to raise awareness and mobilise

During the 6 days of the show, the public will be able to discover this project through a dedicated 750 m² space, punctuated by immersive activities, exhibitions… and even a 100% Charente-Maritime catering area to savour local specialities.
